My name is Sue, also known as ShuHua, and I’m the founder of Promotion&Gifts. My journey into product sourcing and branding started more than a decade ago, long before this business officially began. In 2009, after graduating from a finance college in China, I entered the international trading industry by working for a textile export company. It was a fast-paced environment where I learned the foundations of global trade, customer service, and quality control.

Not long after, I began my own small venture in the promotional products field. I became a sourcing agent for a long-term customer based in the United States, who held contracts with globally recognised names like Warner Brothers,Disney,Miami Heat, and OKC Thunder. From 2012 to 2016, I was responsible for coordinating the development and export of a wide range of custom promotional items—from factory negotiations and design samples to bulk production and logistics. This role gave me invaluable experience in branding, product development, and building trust with clients across borders.

In 2017, I moved to Australia, where I found a fresh beginning and new inspiration. A year later, I started working for a hamper company, where I spent the next five years carefully wrapping gifts for corporate clients, seasonal campaigns, and personal celebrations. Through this hands-on experience, I discovered how packaging and presentation can elevate a gift from ordinary to unforgettable. I learned the art of styling gift boxes, layering textures, matching colours, and adding details that create emotion and beauty.

It was during this time that the idea for Promotion&Gifts quietly took root. Alongside my full-time job, I began studying digital marketingandsocial media strategy, knowing that in today’s world, understanding how people find and connect with businesses online is just as important as the products themselves. With years of experience in international sourcing, a deep appreciation for thoughtful presentation, and a growing knowledge of digital branding, I knew the time had come to launch something of my own—something that reflected both my past and my passion.

That’s how Promotion&Gifts was born.
